mail order vinyl

31st January 2005

(Currently listening to the Love Freakz "shine" class)

I recently started buying all my choons as it were off of the net; I'll include a groovy link that I use often. I've even been getting vinyl from ebay to save the actual ordering of imports or songs I wanted that just weren't available on vinyl over here, you'd be surprised!!

Actually I just spent the last twenty minutes, wait have to change the song...

(Soul Central "strings of life" a groovy wee choon, piano etc)

Right I just spent the last twenty minutes making Gwen Stefani last for well, twenty minutes, not that difficult but good for getting the music in the right bars, heh heh, must be doing the flat mates' heads in, oh boo hoo, dry your eyes, anyway.

Vinyl, it can be difficult to get your hands on after you’ve braved the glaring eyes of the record shop assistants, and my record box is really heavy, so CDs have their advantages, and they are obvious, like the lightness and well compact nature of the little format. However the Future is i-tunes, but I'm low tech and you can't beat the anorak feeling of finding classic bits of plastic that have the power to please hoards of people.

Once you have of course made them realise that Disco is the in its own way, also the future. It’s all in showing other people new styles, or maybe what you personally think is good.

Wait change
(Bob Sinclair, groovy French house pure class, "save our souls" a bit more chunky)

Hmm Bob Sinclar, I discovered this genius after one of my best friends lynsey gave my a sample from his album for my 21st birthday last year with "Freedom" and "Feel for you", class the latter is very Disco me thinks. You should give these a wee listen if me talking about them hasn't totally put you off heh heh. The album is called "enjoy bob Sinclar"(and I do).

Anyway hope you like the link; Hard to find records I love the little MP3 samples so you can hear what you are buying without the assistant telling you why you should get it despite you despising it. Actually it’s commonsense. Change (Right this one is one of those tunes that got the proverbial kicked out of it on radio, documentaries, and television program trailers, I think the BBC have a lot to answer for... ok the extended vocal mix of "Lola’s theme" by the shape shifters)

Change

(Oh some deep dish, lovely "flash dance" What a Feeling!!)

Change

(Decided to stick on some Mylo, I bought this album sampler, I think last summer, hmmm I'm thinking now, I had been Dj-ing at the artschool, anyway I bought it cause I thought the Betty Davis eyes sample was braw)

anyway better dash off.

oh and have a look at those links etc the records one

Ps, this post was written when I was listening to music on my decks, so I included the songs I was playing, however see pps

PPs this post and entertaining the public one were actualy all one post togther but I went off on a tangent in the middle of this one so made it into it's own, and it is in the middle of this post so can you guess where it has been chopped out, If you know the tracks you'll probably notice that two songs might not go that well,
