Studio Below

Studio Below a night that was held at the Soundhaus on Friday, 29th of April.
Anyway I could talk about it more but really, i am mentioning it so I can talk about myself, isn't that what this blog's about. If you're bothered then go find out for yourself what Studio Below is all about. oh and it is mentioned here
i know it's not well covered, well the night anyway, if they do it again, they'll need to publish more stuff on the net.
Right now the straglers are off, I can continue. ahem
so yeah I was dj-ing at the soundhaus on Friday, twas braw indeed. I actually really enjoyed it, though I admit I was as nervous as group of boyscouts walking into neverland. However, like them, my nervousness was soon proven to be unfounded.
I was planning on playing a Donna Summers record but thought the better of it when Ally, (the guy who said i could dj) smiled and said "Don't worry, just don't play anything too cheesy!" laughed and ran off,
Argh!! I did play cheese though, or rather house with it's disco roots showing, class, unfortunatly the night wasn't too busy, a few reasons for this.
A - pressure was on (actually I was even planning on going, which i didn't in the end)
B - Giles peterson was apparently in town that weekend.
C - a band named plant life were playing a gig
D - tom beck or someone was at King tut's.
E - the QM was open
ok the last three reasons are pish but you get the idea. anyway.
actually reasons C and D are related to two seperate mates having already arranged to go to these gigs.
the last excuse relates to a one Mathew Athol Forbes, who went there and never came along, since drinking was involved, bless his wee cotton socks.
I was told that the bar staff were dancing, I am really chuffed by this fact since I said to them to dance damn it when I was on, but also, I think they might have been digging the shit. blah blah
I played bob sinclar, his music is so sexy but it was the one record i found didn't sound that amazing over the speakers. i also finshed with the new slam track, since i got the impression the next dj, mat I think his name was (he and Ally were both going on for a while) i got the impression that he might like it a bit harder, etc
(i also managed to fit in a toilet trip during the Blaze track, thats Rock 'N' Roll)
anyway better dash off to a revision lecture
later
